Formed in 2011 the sweeteners built their music from the ground up with hard hitting drums, lyrical guitar riffs, and clever songwriting.
Alaskans by way of Aberdeen, Washington these longtime friends formed their musical roots listening to the same bands, going to the same shows, and playing in the same punk scene back in the day. Having branched out from those days they have combined influences from 60's garage rock, grunge and punk to form their own sound.
The Sweeteners successfully toured the west coast in June 2013 to support their self titled debut album. A Washington State mini-tour is in the works for June 2014.
The Sweeteners have shared the stage with Smashmouth, Motion City Soundtrack, The Whipsaws and Lewi Longmire Band. They played Salmonstock, Alaska's premier music festival in 2012 & 2013 with Brandi Carlile, Trampled by Turtles and other national acts.
